Spectacular large pegmatite specimen consisting of an Albite, Quartz, Tourmaline var. Elbaite, & Lepidolite combination from the famous Paderniera Mine,

Minas Gerais, Brazil. This specimen must have been a floater plate of lepidolite and albite as I can see no point of attachement anywhere. 

Gemmy green elbaites cover the specimen with the albite and lepidolite providing a nice background in contrast. Some of the elbaites are terminated flat

or staggered, and some are hollow and staggered. Very interesting array of different termination habits for tourmaline. Also present are a couple of

perfect  gem  clear tabby quartz points.  The specimen is displayable from both sides;  choosing which one can be challenging.        15x10x43cm $425
