#2018
Sorry, this specimen is SOLD.
Aesthically arranged specimen of Tourmaline var. Elbaite on Clevelandite from Stak Nala, Skardu Region, Northern Areas, Pakistan.
Nice grouping of elbaites jutting forth from the clevelandite matrix. Some ot the tourmalines in the forground are broken off
at the matrix, however it really doesn't show well as the breaks are clean and the tourmalines are so opaque at their base's. Same goes for the back
(which to someone else's eye might be the front - see last picture), however the damage is more noticable and not so subordinate on the aesthetics as in the
front. The tourmalines at first glance appear to be schorl's, however they are just very dark verdilites as can be plainly seen when the tips are back-lit.
No damage to any of the main crystals. Nice piece of pegmatite. 8x6x4cm $85
